1.About Ch. Devi Lal Govt Polytechnic , Nathusari Chopta
This Polytechnic is in memory of Ch Devi Lal , Ex. Dy. Prime Minister of India and Ex Chief Minister Of Haryana . Nathusari Chopta is a Block Head Quarter of Sirsa .It is very backward in Education , we can say especially as concerned with Technical Education . Keeping in view , Government of Haryana has decided to establish a Polytechnic in this backward area .In very beginning at the time of its establishment, foundation stone was established at Panniwala mota .Due to lack of building , its classes were held at Govt. Polytechnic Sirsa for one year,But later in the second session its classes were transferred to Nathusari Chopta . Sirsa is one of the Principal cities of Haryana State having its own historical and cultural background. The city is named after the name of Saint Sarsai Nath . Its distance from Delhi is 255 KM and from Chandigarh about 265 KM. The city not only enjoys the honour of being the Home-District of Ex.Dy. Prime Minister Ch.Devi Lal but is also the home district of the Ex Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana Ch. Om Parkash Chautala The detailed history of Sirsa district and its administration is available on sirsaadministration.org or sirsa.nic.in
The students belonging not only to this area but from allover the state and adjoining states seek admission in this institution . During their course of training , students are sent for industrial training and some of them are absorbed in the industry concerned . Some students go for higher technical education after facing a through competition . As a matter of fact , the institution is producing professionals in their respective fields . The institution is imparting training to the students which is comparable to some of the best institutions running similar courses, but our quest for excellence has not stopped at this juncture.

The objective of technical education is to ensure speedier and proper adjustment of trained students in industrial environment. To achieve this objective, a close liaison with the industry has to be maintained to meet their present day requirement . Their participation in design of curricula , practical training , evaluation and governance of the institution is a must for effective training of students .
The institution is maintaining liaison with the industry for their practical training , evaluation of practical work and for their placement through campus interviews . There is limited participation of industry in design of curricula . Most of the project work carried out by the students find practical applications in industry .
